UoH and FICCI Organizes Workshop on Foreign Languages, Industry and Opportunities
Hyderabad: To initiate Academia, Industry and Government Interaction on the role of foreign languages, The Centre for Study of Foreign Languages in the School of Humanities, at University of Hyderabad (UoH) in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, (FICCI) A.P Chapter is organizing workshop on “Foreign Languages, Industry and Opportunities” on 9 July 2009 at the Conference Hall of School of Humanities, in the University of Hyderabad campus from 9.30 AM onwards. The workshop is being organized, In line with the demand and immense potential for over 1,60,000 foreign language professionals in Indian off-shoring (IT, BPO) industry by 2010 and to prepare a road map for the future action in foreign languages. The Scholars of foreign languages, Policymakers, Industry representatives from IT, Biotechnology, Pharma, Healthcare, Tourism, Financial Companies, Private translation companies, Individual translators, and Interpreters will participate in the workshop.
